6. any other outcomes
In the aims I set, I hoped to find out more other outcomes like what do Australians think about Chinese people, food, and living in such a diverse cultural society.
This video shows Na Li visits Melbourne Chinatown. In the video, you can actually see a lot of Australians visiting China town, proves that China town is not just for Chinese but also for other people who likes Chinese culture.
I can see Chinese and Australians hanging around in school uniforms, I assume that they got off class and hang out together.
I can see Chinese and Australians holding hand, indicating they are couples. I can also see that they did not discriminate us or treat us unfairly at all when we are served in the restaurants or shops. Therefore, I could feel that Australians tend to get along with Chinese people who lives there. For food, I can see that many Australians eat in Chinese restaurants and goes to China town to buy Chinese food. Apart from how they see Chinese cultures normally, they also accept other cultures. Different ethnic of people works in the the same shop/ restaurant and I do not see Australians treat them unfairly. Also, I asked Yan and Andrew, they said their society was like this since they were young, so they do not feel any uncomfortable to live in a diverse cultural society. |
