Below are my intended learning outcomes and they will be discover and achieved by communicating with Australians and observing them.
(i) English proficiency
I hope to increase my English proficiency in speaking the most.
I think I could achieve this aim by the following methods:
To test if my English proficiency has improved in such a short period of time, I can find my group mates and ask them for feedback.

I think I could achieve this aim by the following methods:
- Practice speaking with other people as much as possible.
- Develop my vocabulary so I can talk about different topics. Try and learn new words that are useful in different contexts.
- Practice the changing in the tone of voice. Listen to Australians' tone when they speak. Listen to how their tone affects the message they convey, try to learn from them and and vary my tone.
- Try and place extra emphasis on the important parts of what I am saying. Stress more to indicate the importance in the message.
- Find a partner to practice my English with.

(ii) Understanding the country's and city's culture/ customs/ taboos
(iii) Understanding the daily life habits, popular culture of the community, diversity of values etc.
I wanted to know the daily life habits of Australians, what are the popular culture of the community and what are their values. For example, what they do over the weekends, what do they often eat, when do they sleep, do they stay out late at night, what they do after work/school, what advertisements they would focus and what are their values of life.

(iv) Intercultural communication + multicultural interaction
(v) Personal discovery
I am interested to find out more about myself. I want to discover if I have any language/ cultural barriers with the Australian/ Australian culture. Moreover, as we all know that Hong Kong is a fast paced city and Australia is a slower one, so I want to discover the difference of my living style and theirs.
